Scabies

Symptoms

The scabies mite is a parasite that lives in human skin. This tiny creature burrows just underneath the skin's surface and produces a characteristic eruption of very fine, crooked, slightly raised lines about one or two centimeters long. These areas usually become infected from scratching and develop sores and crusts. The itching is so intense that another name for scabies is ‘the itch.' The itching becomes unbearable in bed since the mite travels at night while the person is resting. Mites are attracted to skin folds, such as between the fingers and in the elbow creases. They do not normally spread to the face but, if the immune system is compromised, sores can spread all over the body, including the genitals.

Scabies Causes

The scabies mite is microscopic in size. The female digs into the skin to deposit her eggs, which take about two weeks to hatch. The male mite lives on the skin's surface. Symptoms do not become apparent for a number of weeks, although they can be transmitted during this time. Scabies can be transferred by using another's work gloves or sharing other clothing.

Scabies Nutrition

Support the immune system and optimize skin health with nutrient-rich foods, including raw vegetables, fruit and whole grains, while cutting back on sweets and other nutrient-deprived foods. Food processing eliminates many important vitamins and minerals. Nuts and whole grains, especially wheat germ and bran, provide zinc, which is vital for tissue healing and the skin. Citrus fruits and rose hips are rich in vitamin C. Beneficial beta-carotene is found in orange-colored fruit and vegetables, as well as green, leafy vegetables. These foods also support skin health and healing. When eaten raw, fruits and vegetables supply enzymes, which are necessary for building
the immune system and helping the body fight infection.

Scabies Nutritional Supplements

With a healthy diet, supplements can help boost the immune system to fight this parasite. Beta-carotene, vitamin C and zinc are most effective for this. They, along with vitamin E, are skin nutrients which can be taken as well.

Daily dosages:

Vitamin C, with

bioflavonoids, 1,000 mg

three times daily

Beta-carotene, 25, 000 IU

Zinc, 30 mg, with 6 mg

copper

Vitamin E, with mixed tocopherols, 400 IU

Scabies Herbal Remedies

External application of herbal leaves and extracts can remedy this condition, within three days in some cases.

Ground neem leaves work as an antiseptic.

Thyme extract kills bacteria. Apply a few drops to the area twice daily.

Apply a few drops of tea tree oil, diluted in water onto the affected area twice daily to prevent a viral infection.

Goldenseal is antibacterial. Use as an alternative to tea tree oil.

Scabies Homeopathy

Give Sulphur, 30c every twelve hours for up to three days to everyone in the household, whether infested or not, except for eczema sufferers. If no improvement occurs within one week, see a physician.

Scabies Tissue Salts

See tissue salt remedies for itching.

Scabies External/Physical Therapies

Oat baths help relieve persistent itching. Add 1 cup of raw oats to bath water.

Scabies Other Suggestions

As scabies can be quite persistent, be sure to retest for them once treatment is finished to ensure they are gone.

Wash all bedding, towels and clothing that could be infected in hot water and toss them into a hot dryer to prevent reinfection.

I agree with everyone here on the "quick-buck" routine. People like this don't give a damn about how you feel and only hope you're desperate enough to give them money for what could even be a bogus remedy, leaving you no recourse, even if it says "money back guarantee" (anybody can put that on their site, by the way). So be careful. I hope you guys will do the same as I am--if you find a way to handle these little buggers, post it or leave a message of how to contact you for the free info. A good friend of mine's daughter has a rash identical to the pics I've seen online and I know my friend would love to beat this once and for all. God Bless, everyone.

I have to agree with Brandi and the others about your Remedy Report. If I had been suffering with such a terrible itch and had went through the awful experiance I would give the info for free. It seems everyone is out to make a buck. It is RUDE.

Hey Larry, I think I have the same mite as you. Except mine is soft n jeely like, not hard. I practise aromatherapy, know quite a bit about natural remedies, but I can't get rid of them! The essential oils concoction I've been using is Neem, Tea Tree, Lavender, Aniseed and Citronella. Plus Quassia Bark tincture. Now this combination kills Nits n Head Lice, Scabies, Body Lice and Bed bugs!! But still hasn't worked. I've sprayed the whole house, washed n dried all clothes, bathed me n kids in concoction!! Can't find out what they are?????? xxx Tania xxx

Could there be a new parasite caught from dogs. I bought a puppy, not knowing it was from a puppy mill, and she had the parasite. The Vet gave her meds for scabies, and latter had to lance a large spot on her paw, where the parasites seem to go to get away from the medication. But she still has problems, and now I have it. I took meds for scabies and it did nothing. I wash my hair with bleach&Dawn combonation and the parsite will move down to my hair line on my neck. I need help! Seems that bleach (heavy dose) wont even kill them, and now MY HAIR is blonde.

Hi Linda. I have had this going on 18 months. A Doctor gave me meds for scabies, and it did no good. It seems that my parasite leaves an oily skin along with the sores. When I itch I have found a very small hard white critter. I have shampoo my hair with bleach (lots) and that seem to slow them down but did not elimate them. I look every where for help and have none. Does this sound like what you have?

i also agree with Karla. My four year old seems to have gotten a horrible itch from kittens at someone's home. Her doctor would not say he positively identified the source as scabies, but nevertheless wrote an Rx for a treatment that cost $123. AND did not even provide itch relief. This site boasts about not paying for expensive treatments but sells the knowledge of a quick and easy relief remedy for such amount. (My Rx copay was $20. cheaper than your grocery store item Remedy Report) Thanks for nothing:)

I AGREE WITH KARLA, IF ALL THE CURE TAKES IS A FEW THINGS FROM YOUR CUPBOARD OR A QUICK TRIP TO THE GROCERY STORE THEN WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PROFIT ON LETTING US KNOW A FAST WAY TO GET RID OF THE PAIN AND SUFFERING? SOME OF US ARE ON THE INTERNET TRYING TO FIND A CHEAP OR INEXPENSIVE WAY TO CURE OURSELVES, NOT TO RUN INTO A DEAD END AND HAVING TO PAY FOR YOUR ONLINE BOOK JUST TO GIVE US A LIST OF ITEMS WE NEED, HOW RUDE.

I am trying to help my father-in-law. I see all these "natural Remedy" phrases and putting down all the pharmacys for costly medicines,, yet I see no different in you charging so much just to get "safe remedys". If it is so easy to cure with simple things from the grocery store,,, then you ought to post it as well without charge.
